Colin Lanceley (1938–2015) Australian artist
He began as “a young artist in the Sydney art collective known as the Annandale Imitation Realists,” and made his way to London, where he showed with the Marlborough Gallery. Inducted into the Order of Australia in 1990—and the recipient of an Australia Council Creative Arts Fellowship in 1991—Lanceley's work is in the collections the Tate, the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Museum of Modern Art in New York, and the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum.
